First Choice has an online program that allows you to use your smartphone, tablet, or computer to manage your child care and submit your claims. Plan menus, view reports, and much more!

We have a brand new Kansans Can Best Practice Award
winning handbook that reflects all the current regulations from USDA and KSDE. The handbook also includes recipes, crafts, songs, games, and finger plays. We will add to these sections periodically.

Team Nutrition Meal Pattern Training Tools
These colorful and engaging materials can be used to empower Child and Adult Care Food Program
providers and operators with the knowledge, skills, and expertise to implement the updated CACFP meal pattern requirements that became effective October 1, 2017. These tools are for use by state agencies, sponsoring organizations, and others to train providers, operators, menu planners, and other staff in meeting CACFP nutrition standards that include a greater variety of vegetables, more whole grains, and less added sugars and saturated fat. Available: Print versions of materials will be made available in stages, only to schools, CACFP providers, and summer meal programs participating in one of USDA’s child nutrition programs. All are welcome to download these materials and make copies.
How does it work?
All paperwork is completed daily by hand or online, which makes up your monthly claim. All claims are to be mailed or emailed into the office on the first working day of the month to be processed. Your reimbursement check will be mailed/deposited the day after we receive the federal funds from the state. It is that simple.
